The Lancrigg Hotel Wedding of Pippa and Phillip | Grasmere Wedding Photographer

I was overjoyed to be asked to photograph Pippa and Phillip’s autumn wedding at Lancrigg Hotel in Grasmere – “Where is The lancrigg in Grasmere?”, I asked (it’s not often as a wedding photographer in the Lake District that you come across a venue that you are not familiar with), and when I arrived on the morning of Pippa and Phillip’s wedding I instantly fell in love with the place. The Lancrigg Hotel is set down a secluded lane apart from the centre of Grasmere, there is something about a traditional Lake District building with it’s quirky interior and extensive grounds (with some amazing views across the fells) that makes the perfect back drop for any wedding.

I met Pippa in the bridal suite for wedding makeup which she had also asked me to look after for her. After Pippa had finished getting ready we took a few photographs before heading to Kendal Town Hall for the wedding ceremony. Arriving at Kendal Town Hall I met Phillip and then we awaited the bridal party for the wedding ceremony. During that time I was able to capture some candid photographs of Pippa and Phillip’s wedding guests before photographing the wedding itself.

On the way back to the Lancrigg Hotel Pippa, Phillip and I stopped at Grasmere for some more wedding photography of just the two of them. I really love both the natural photographs and the posed portraits of the bride and groom on their wedding day.

Once back the Lancrigg Hotel it was time for some fun with confetti before speeches and then later Pippa and Phillip’s first dance. It was my absolute pleasure to be Pippa and Phillip’s wedding photographer for the day, two of the nicest people you could meet, and I wish them all of the best for their future life together.
