The Broadoaks Country House Wedding of Liam and Ryan

What can I say about Liam and Ryan except that their wedding day was one of the most memorable weddings that I’ve photographed at Broadoaks Country House Hotel. The whole wedding day went so brilliantly that I’ve struggled to narrow down the photos that I want to share because there are just so many wonderful moments that were captured on camera, but I picked out the highlights from what was a brilliant December wedding in the Lake District.

Winter weddings in the Lake District can present a variety of weather challenges. There had been a rather stormy couple of days at the end of November, but we still managed to get down to an ever-so-slightly flooded Windermere for Liam and Ryan’s couple photos. The jetties might have been underwater, but that didn’t stop us from getting some fab scenic Lake District wedding photos.

The rest of the day also consisted of two confetti throws! You honestly never have too much confetti, and when your couple listens to your advice, you get to do it in both directions! We also managed all of Liam and Ryan’s group photos outside, at a December wedding! Something that almost never happens. Later in the evening, there was an actual proper ice cream man on his bicycle with a line of excitable guests queuing out of the door. The evening also provided some brilliant craic from the guests and some utterly brilliant dance floor moves as the party got started!

So a huge congratulations to the new Mr and Mr Grayson, or Batman and Robin as I now like to call them. Believe it or not, they actually laughed at that joke too! A huge thank you to Liam and Ryan for having me along as their Lake District wedding photographer; I honestly wouldn’t want to have missed it for anything else!
