The Cragwood Elopement Wedding of Carrie and Dan

I had to stay up late to finish editing (or wediting as I like to call it) Carrie and Dan’s photos from their elopement wedding at Cragwood Country House. Asides from cooking and dog walking, I was at my computer all day working on the photos that I’d promised them they would have the previous evening. I fully expected to have finished editing their wedding photos sooner, but I hadn’t anticipated being delayed by the disruption of the water going off due to a burst water pipe in town. So it was important that I sat at my desk and finished editing their wedding photographs, which I did with half an hour to spare before midnight.

Carrie and Daniel chose Cragwood Country House for their elopement wedding. Which was a top choice if you ask me. I do love a wedding at one of the “woods” (Briery Wood and Merewood are also available), and I especially love an elopement to photograph at one of them too. Elopement photography at Cragwood on a beautiful afternoon in late autumn really is something to get excited about.

Carrie and Daniel also chose to have the most beautiful autumn day. The light was incredible, with the low hazy sunlight beaming across the lawn in front of Cragwood. Which bathed the wedding ceremony and Carrie and Daniel’s couple photos in the most beautiful golden glow. Best of all, and because they chose a later ceremony, we not only made use of golden hour but also got some great twilight photos as the last of the sunset faded over the Lake District fells. It was a perfect secret wedding.

A huge congratulations to Carrie and Daniel, and thank you for choosing me to be your wedding photographer, for choosing Cragwood and for picking the best weather for your elopement wedding. Sorry for the bad jokes, though, but as previously mentioned, I don’t charge extra for them.
