The Cragwood Country House Hotel LGBTQ+ Wedding of Emma and Katie

Happy Pride Month! and to celebrate and honour the LGBTQ+ community here are a few words about Emma and Katie’s wedding at Cragwood Country House Hotel a couple of weeks ago. Emma and Katie contacted me at the beginning of the year to book me as their Lake District Wedding Photographer, for their wedding at Cragwood Country House Hotel.

Cragwood Country House Hotel is nestled in the breathtaking beauty of the Lake District, on the shore of lake Windermere. With its stunning surroundings and inclusive atmosphere it is particularly well-suited for LGBTQ+ couples to have their dream wedding. There is always an enchanting backdrop for wedding photographs with the the hotel’s grand architecture and beautifully manicured gardens. The romantic ambiance really set the stage for for Emma and Katie’s special day.

I joined Emma and Katie just as they were finishing their hair and makeup. While they were getting dressed I took advantage of a few minutes to fly my drone for some drone photographs of the hotel and its beautiful gardens. The weather was perfect for an outdoor ceremony which was expertly conducted by our local registrars from Westmorland and Furness Council.

After Emma and Katie’s wedding ceremony, and after we had taken the time for some candid and group photographs, we explored the extensive grounds of Cragwood Country House for their couple portraits. There are so many options to create great wedding photographs there, and with the the beautiful spring weather on our side we were able to take our time to explore the grounds and capture some special memories.

It is always a pleasure to be asked to be the wedding photographer by LGBTQ+ couples for their Lake District wedding, and I loved every minute that I spent with Emma and Katie. By the end it felt like we were old friends spending time together. Just how the relationship should be between me, the wedding photographer, and you the couple.
