The Broadoaks Country House Wedding of Lisa and Pete

Lisa and Pete are the newest member of the Jaye-Peg Collective. Aubree too. I don’t think I could ever get away with not inducting Aubree into the collective. She’d tell me off. It’s a very exclusive club, the Jaye-Peg Collective, and definitely not a cult.

I imagine that Lisa, Pete and Aubree will be spending most of this evening looking through the photos from Lisa and Pete’s wedding last week. It all took place in the Music Room at Broadoaks Country House, followed by a trip down to Windermere for photos. It’s the first time that a couple’s daughter has jumped in my car to go to the lake for photos. If you knew Aubree you’d also know that there was no way that wasn’t going to happen.

Aubree was also the first person to greet me when I arrived at Broadoaks. No sooner had I pulled up than she was beaming at me through the windscreen, the palpable excitement all over her face. I also quite like using the term “palpable excitement all over her face” in a social media post. I’ll probably use it again sometime.

A huge congratulations to Lisa and Pete, and the day really was all about the two of you, even if Aubree would beg to differ.
The day would not have been complete without the help of Mikey, Fran and the team at Broadoaks, as well as Richard and Hazel from Westmorland and Furness Registration service. I took the photos, which is kind of my thing when I’m at a wedding. Aubree also helped by telling me what to do and what photos she wanted next, but I did get her to hold a light stand at one point.

The day was definitely all about Lisa and Pete, but it was also about Aubree too.
