It is a family run wedding venue that is know for it’s warm hospitality and rustic charm, making it a popular choice for wedding celebrations.
Low Hall The Lakes features a 17th century farmhouse with well-appointed rooms that combine modern comforts with traditional countryside decor. Beyond the well maintained garden is a large lawn and landscaped pond, outdoor terrace and beautiful woodland to explore. Low Hall The Lakes is also only a short drive away from the amenities of Cockermouth, the village of Lorton and the lakes of the Buttermere Valley.
With the beautifully presented grounds and woodland, views of the Lorton Valley and a babbling brook (called Little Sandy Beck) that runs through the property, Low Hall The Lakes is a truly stunning place for a Lake District wedding.

You will find woodland, a beautifully landscaped garden and lawn with it’s very own pond, and the trickling of Little Sandy Beck runs through the property on it’s way to join the River Cocker. My relaxed wedding photography style really lends itself well to the relaxed and rustic charm of this popular Lake District wedding barn. The picturesque setting in the secluded beauty of Low Hall The Lakes provide a perfect canvas for Lake District wedding photography. From the traditional farmhouse buildings with their modern twist, it truly is an enchanting setting for a Lake District wedding photographer.
